"I have to admit that my role as Mayamohini is challenging. But whenever I took the risk of doing unconventional roles, the audience have accepted with open arms," he says.
The movie titled Mayamohini will begin shoot in two weeks under the direction of Jose Thomas. And if it is a Dileep movie, naturally the audience will look forward to humour and the actor says he is only too happy to deliver. "There is plenty of humour. The script is safe in the hands of Udayakrishnan and Siby K Thomas and I'm sure the audience will love the duet with Biju Menon."
Speaking about the role, Dileep says that his character owing to certain unavoidable circumstances dresses up as Mayamohini, a Mumbai girl. He continues being Maya with whom Biju Menon falls in love with without understanding her real identity.
About the popular belief that no good movies are releasing in Malayalam, he says, "The reality is that when good movies are released they are not able to pull the crowd. So to a certain extent the audience are to be blamed for this."
Dileep is currently shooting for Shyamaprasad's Arike and is looking forward to the release of Sandhya Mohan's Mr Marumakan, and Lal Jose's Spanish Masala.
